Players on equal points will be determined by the most points that the tied players have against each another. If this still proves equal, then the position is based upon points won against the player in 1st position, and so forth going down the player order. For example Mark & Gareth are equal on 8 points each. The first step is to see which of these players have won the most points between each other. In this particular instance Gareth & Mark have drawn with each other twice. As such, they have 1 point each, and so the position is still undecided. The next step is to see what these players have obtained from matches played against the player currently in 1st place, which is Scott. Gareth has lost twice to Scott, so therefore he has zero points; but Mark has drawn one match against Scott, so Mark has half a point. Therefore Mark currently holds 3rd place and Gareth 4th.
